Two Additional COVID Cases Reported in Meigs County
POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Health Department is reporting two additional cases of COVID-19 bring the total active cases to five (5) in Meigs County. These confirmed cases of COVID-19 bringMeigs Counties to 17 total cases (15 Confirmed, 2 Probable) since April.
The first case is a female in the 20 to 29-year-old age range, who is a direct contact of the case reported on July 14th, and is not hospitalized.
The second case is also a female in the 20 to 29-year old age range, who is not hospitalized.
The Health Department states, “At this time, we please ask residents to refrain from calling the Health Department for questions regarding these cases while we complete our disease investigations and notify relevant individuals. The cases and individuals identified as contacts of the cases will be advised to self-quarantine for 14 days. We urge residents to continue to follow federal, state, and local guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
