POMEROY, Ohio – A social media posting by a former employee at McDonald’s of Pomeroy prompted the Meigs County Health Department to look into an allegation concerning an employee’s spouse testing positive for COVID-19.
In a statement from the Meigs County Health Department, they noted being aware of the social media post regarding COVID-19 and an employee at the Pomeroy McDonald’s. The statement reads, “The Health Department has looked into the situation and has found no cases at this location. We have also verified that the restaurant is following all proper safety guidance related to COVID-19. The Meigs County Health Department asks residents to refrain from calling the Health Department for questions related to this social media post. The Meigs County Health Department continues to urge residents to follow federal, state, and local guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
