Additional Confirmed Case Reported with Aug. 11 COVID-19 Update

POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Health Department is reporting one additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Meigs County. It is associated with an outbreak at Overbrook Rehabilitation Center. Today’s case of COVID-19 brings Meigs County to 28 active cases, and 57 total cases (44 Confirmed, 13 Probable) since April.

Outlined below are today’s cases:

  • Confirmed case, female in the 40 to 49-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized. 

The Meigs County Health Department states, “We ask residents to please refrain from calling the Health Department for questions regarding these cases while we complete our disease investigations and notify relevant individuals. The cases and individuals identified as contacts of the case will be advised to self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidance.”

The health department urges residents to continue following federal, state, and local guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
