Winter Weather Advisory Issued, Snow Possible

MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio – Meigs County is under a Winter Weather Advisory. Other counties included in the advisory from the National Weather Service in addition to Meigs County are Athens, Washington, Vinton, Morgan, Perry and Lawrence.

The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Snow is expected with a total accumulation possible of 2 to 4 inches. Roadways may become slippery and hazardous conditions may impact the morning or evening commute.

According to the National Weather Service, “A Winter Weather Advisory will be issued for any amount of freezing rain, or when 2 to 4 inches of snow (alone or in combination with sleet and freezing rain), is expected to cause a significant inconvenience, but not serious enough to warrant a warning.”
