Quilting for a cause, fundraiser for Shop with a Cop

RACINE, Ohio – A quilt has been created to help make Christmas brighter for Meigs County children.

The quilt will be used as a fundraiser with the proceeds from the sale of tickets going to Loyalty is Forever for their Shop with a Cop program. The quilt was made by Pat Barnette. Pat along with Albert Proffitt, owner of AP Weilding Racine, donated this year’s quilt.

She created a quilt last year to donate for Shop with a Cop. Last year according to Proffitt, “We raised $2,400 just in Meigs County.”

They also donated a quilt to Jackson County, West Virginia for a similar cause.

Tickets will be available when displayed at Powells Food Fair in Pomeroy. They will also be available at Farmers Bank in Pomeroy where the quilt will be on display as well until the drawing. Tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. If you would like to purchase tickets you can contact Albert Proffitt at 740-949-0901.
