Larry Joseph Ritchie “Bird”, 35, of Racine

Larry Joseph Ritchie “Bird”, 35, of Racine, Ohio passed away on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 at Holzer in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born in Point Pleasant, West Virginia on March 25, 1986 to Lori (Faulk) Ritchie and the late Charles “Chuck” Ritchie of Racine.

He was a 2004 graduate of Eastern High School. He served in the US Navy as a welder and hull technician. He also worked as a lineman all over the United States. He loved to travel, camp, fish, hike, be outdoors and spend time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents June and Violet (Hyatt) Ritchie, his maternal grandparents Larry and Maxine (Eblin) Dugan, Robert Faulk, his father Charles Ritchie, three aunts Glori Faulk, Paulette Vanmeter and Juanita “Darlene” Ritchie, and his special friend Brandon Kearns.

He is survived by his mother Lori (Faulk) Ritchie of Racine, sisters Chelsi Ritchie of Racine, Carrie (Rick) Eaton of Florida, brother Charles Ritchie Jr. of Florida, aunt Robin (Billy) Dugan-Wolfe of Pomeroy, uncles Jack (Sherry) Ritchie of Racine, and Robert “Bob” Ritchie of Middleport, great uncle Jerry (Saundra) Hyatt of Marietta, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at the Rutland Civic Center on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to http://gofund.me/66b19270.
