Linda Mae Hicks Rife, 75, Athens, gained her Heavenly Wings surrounded byher loving family November 4, 2021, at her residence. She was born to Sam and Rachel (Carroll) (Back) Hicks on January 27, 1946,in Leewood, West Virginia.
She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s visits. She retired from CVS, where she enjoyed working formany years.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her smile and sweet memories her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard L. Rife, a son Gregory L. Rife of Athens, a daughter Robyn (Dave) Grim of Langsville, a daughter-in-law Gloria Rife of Middleport, a son-in-law David Smith of Newport, TN., a brother Sam (Paula) Hicks Jr. of Jackson, a sister Barbara Foesch of Boise, Idaho, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends.
Awaiting Linda’s arrival at Heaven’s Gate will be her parents, her beautiful daughterMelissa A. Smith, her Handsome son Jeffery A. Rife; siblings Garnet, Sabra, Lucille, Cora Elizabeth, Norman, Bobby Gene, Lukie Arnold, an infant twinbrother Baby Hicks, and Berklet J. (B.J.) Hicks.
