ODOT Construction Update for Meigs County

MARIETTA, Ohio – The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Meigs County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

U.S. 33 PROJECTS

U.S. 33 Rockslide Repair – A rockslide repair project is taking place on U.S. 33, between Long Hollow Road (Township Road 27A) and SR 833. The eastbound driving lane is closed. The passing lane is open. Estimated completion: June 30, 2022

U.S. 33 westbound rest area tree removal – A tree removal project is taking place at the U.S. 33 westbound rest area in the coming weeks in preparation for the rebuilding of the rest area. The rest area will remain open during tree removal operations.

County Road 163 Bridge Replacement – A bridge replacement project is taking place on County Road 163, between Rocksprings Road and Hemlock Grove Road. The road is closed. The detour is Rocksprings Road to U.S. 33 west to SR 681 east to Hemlock Grove Road. Estimated completion: May 6, 2022
