Meigs County Better Livestock 4-H Club Meets at Fairgrounds
POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Better Livestock 4-H Club meet at the Meigs County Fairgrounds May 15 from 3-4:30 p.m. with 25 members present.
Landen Woods led the Pledge of Allegiance and Corey Seth led the 4-H Pledge. Maddie Karr read the minutes from the April 24 meeting. Ella Bailey presented the Treasurer’s Report. Landen Woods, Conor Knotts and Lance Hensler presented the Safety Report.
Under unfinished business, the club discussed club shirts. The club also voted to go to the Strawberry Patch for an educational trip on June 1 with lunch after. There will be a Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay fun trip on July 6.
New business discussed included validating that all animals were checked in by club members. Those members attending 4-H camp and were reminded to complete the registration. Community service projects were discussed noting that Riversweep will be June 17 at Forked Run.
Advisors Alyssa Webb and Tom Pullins noted that Quality Assurance must be complete by June 1. The livestock book review and miscellanious judging will be July 12. Food and clothing judging will be July 14. Cloverbuds are invited to a monthly meeting at the Extension Office the third Thursday of each month beginning May 26.
Skills presentation about sheep and goats were presented during the meeting.
Cloverbuds participated in outdoor activities after the pledges and reports.
The next meeting will be June 26 at 1 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
