Kimberly Renee` Johnson-King, 34, of Tuppers Plains, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a 2-year battle with cancer. She was born in Point Pleasant, WV, on July 23, 1987, to Ronald “Keith” Johnson and Sandra Clay.
Kimberly attended the River of Life Church of God in Rutland, Ohio. She loved her family and her dog Beth. She enjoyed coffee, music, and books (especially her Bible). Some of her favorite places to travel to were Topsail Island and the mountains of West Virginia. Kim was a 2006 graduate of Meigs High School and 2017 graduate from Hocking College
Kimberly is survived by her husband, Jeff King of Athens, Ohio; her loving parents, Sandra & Steven Clay of Tuppers Plains, Ohio; bonus-mom, Jessie Johnson of Marion, LA; siblings, Bradley (Dreama) Clay of Gallipolis, Ohio, Brooke (Craig) Wilson of Belleville, WV, and Seth (Jorden) Johnson of Monroe, LA; nieces and nephews, Colton, Asher, Abigail, and Eliza; and many others. She was also loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Ronald “Keith” Johnson; maternal grandparents, Bub and Icyle Herdman; paternal grandfather, Ronald Johnson; and grandmother, Virginia Bernard.
Kimberly’s Celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the River of Life Church in Rutland, OH, (37032 State Route 124, Middleport, Ohio). Friends may call to visit with the family from 12-1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kimberly’s name to the River of Life Care Closet.
