Wanda Lou Cornell Teaford, 80

Wanda Lou Cornell Teaford, 80, of Portland, passed away surrounded by her family and friends, at 10:42 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022 at her son’s residence. Born June 5, 1942, in Portland Ohio she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Minnie Mae Wells Cornell. She was a retired C.N.A. for the Kimes Convalescent Center, in Athens and she was an Avon representative for over 20 years. She was a member of the Freedom Gospel Mission Church, and the Pomeroy Bowling League, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her animals.

She is survived by her children, Carla Sue Teaford, of Racine, Dale C. (Linda) Teaford, Jr., and Dennis D. Teaford, both of Portland, grandchildren, Dale (Andrea Owens) Teaford Derek (Cecilia) Teaford, Darin Teaford, Lindsay (D.W.) Mahan, Dennis (Lana) Teaford, Hope Teaford, Faith Teaford, Merissa (Russ) Starcher, and Terry Bell. Great-grandchildren, Wyatt Teaford, Ranger Blackston, Ember Mahan, Cedar Mahan, Freya Teaford, Rohan Harper, Dylan Teaford, Myles Teaford, and AlexZander Starcher, siblings, Kenny “Red” (Susie) Wallbrown, Joe (Ruth) Allen, Clarence (Joyce) Weddle, Amos Wallbrown, and Joey (Terri) Larkins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Teaford whom she married in August 1, 1960 and preceded her on May 2, 2011, her birth parents Helen Wallbrown and Herman Larkins, siblings, Patty Hill, Shirley Wallbrown, Clifford Allen, Garnet Holtzman, Joann Greer, and Juanita Guy.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine with Pastor Mark Mitera officiating interment will follow in Browning Cemetery, Portland. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Friday.
