Robert Lee Ritchie, 90

Robert Lee Ritchie, 90, of Racine, died Monday, August 29, 2022 at Arbors in Pomeroy.

Born February 9, 1932 in Racine, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl A. And Freda Fell Ritchie. Robert was a member of the Operators Engineers #132 for 72 years having worked for Boso, at Geoglein Coal and retired from Dupont in 1993. He was a member of the Chester Council Daughters of America #323, and the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, JoAnn Sweisthal Ritchie; one son, Robert L. (Jan) Ritchie Jr; five stepchildren, Debbie (Ernie) Klingenberg, Nancy King, Tami (Donald) Putman, Darlene Frederick and Susan Baum; twelve step grandchildren, Matt (Laura) Springer, Amanda (Ernie) King and Jared (Angel) Springer, Greg (Jessica) King Jr, Bobby King, Samantha King, Mathew Putman, Derek (Kari) Putman, Kari Whitney Putman, Kaylin (Craig) Lee, Michael Frederick and Dawson King; fourteen step great grandchildren, Tim, Lauren, Veronica, Christopher, Cooper, Kaden, Greyson, Joseph, Zack, Cody, Blake, Avayah, Paisley, and Luke; one sister Nola Chevalier; one brother, Roger (Carolyn) Ritchie; a special niece and nephew Charles (Sherry) Ritchie.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Ritchie; a sister Helen Barber and a brother Larry Ritchie.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September, 1, 2020 at the White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Barlow officiating. Burial will follow at the Meigs County Memory Gardens in Pomeroy. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
