Dowler retires from Job and Family Services
David Dowler retired from Meigs County Department of Job and Family Services on December 31, 2022. He worked with the department for 31 years as the maintenance supervisor and was responsible for the upkeep of the Ohio means Jobs building. Meigs County Public Transit and the main building of the Meigs County Department of Job and Family Services .
Over the years, David has been responsible for not only everyday maintenance and custodial work, but also a myriad of special projects. David participated each year with the Angel Tree Initiative as well as community efforts such as cleanup from storms and actively participated with the Meigs Health Department during COVID-19 pandemic in getting cleaning supplies out to the community.
David was also a key component in aiding in the setup of the special events that take place off site, such as job fairs, the Meigs County Fair booth, and other county wide events where the agency participated in getting information out to the residents.
