Middleport submits applications for paving projects
Middleport Mayor Fred Hoffman announced actions which had recently been taken on two paving projects which had been submitted to OPWC Small Governments for consideration. He stated that one application was ranked No. 2 and the other application was ranked No. 3 in District 18 and both were recommended to Ohio Public Works for funding. The Mayor stated that further consideration will be given to the projects by OPWC and final recommendations from the State will be made in May of this year with funds to be released on July 1. The two applications are described as follows:

Paving of the following streets:
Railroad Street
Pearl Street between Lincoln and Hartinger
So. Third Ave. from Hartinger to Ash
Hobson Drive
900 feet of guardrail on Hobson Drive
