Former Meigs County Sheriff scheduled for an arraignment

POMEROY- Ohio Former Meigs County Sheriff Keith O. Wood is scheduled for an arraignment hearing on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the Common Please Court of Meigs County, Ohio. Wood will be in front of assigned Judge Scott W. Nesbaum on charges of Theft in Office felony fourth degree, Telecommunications Fraud felony fourth degree, Misuse of Credit Cards felony fifth degree, Misuse of Credit Cards misdemeanor first degree, Soliciting or Accepting Improper Compensation misdemeanor first degree.
Wood resigned on November 11, 2022. At the time he cited his health and his family for reasons he was stepping down as sheriff.
Wood has retained K. Robert Toy as his attorney in the matter.
