On April 4, 2023 The Racine Southern FFA Chapter hosted their Annual Petting Zoo and Easter Egg Hunt event. Every year the chapter hosts this event to inform the grades Headstart through third grade about FFA and agriculture through the fun egg hunt and interactive petting soon for the kids. Each grade level previously listed was scheduled for a specific time to participate in the occasion. FFA members brought in all different kinds of animals—snake, sugar glider, hampster, newly hatched chicks, day old calf, goat, chickens, guinea, turkey, rabbit, ducks, just to name a few.
The grades went through the petting zoo first, then walked over to Southern Local’s football field for the easter egg hunt. There was a golden egg hidden somewhere in the field for each grade level. A special prize was given out to the individual who found the golden egg, which was a large chocolate bunny provided by the Easter Bunny!
All grade levels seemed to really enjoy the event and its always one that the FFA chapter looks forward to hosting every year.

We would also like to give a big shoutout to all of our sponsors this year that helped make this event a success:
