WEEK OF MAY 8, 2023
MARIETTA, Ohio (Thursday, May 4, 2023) – The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Meigs County. All outlined work is weather permitting. Click on each route to see its location at OHGO.com.
U.S. 33/SR 7 Lighting Upgrades – A lighting upgrade project is taking place at the U.S. 33/SR 7/SR 124/SR 833 interchange at Rocksprings. Shoulder closures are in place where work is occurring. Estimated Completion: June 1
SR 124 Bridge Deck Replacement – A bridge deck replacement project begins on May 30 on SR 124, between Rainbow Ridge Road (Township Road 151) and SR 248. One lane will be closed. Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals. Truck traffic will not be permitted through the project and must take the following detour: SR 124 to U.S. 33 to SR 7 to SR 248 to SR 124. Estimated completion: November 1
SR 681 Landslide Repair – A landslide repair project is taking place on SR 681, between Vance Road (Township Road 259) and Haning Ridge Road (Township Road 232). The road is closed. ODOT’s detour is SR 681 to SR 684 to SR 143 to SR 7 to U.S. 33 to SR 681. One lane is expected to reopen on May 12. Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals through September 1.
SR 681 Resurfacing – A resurfacing project begins on May 15 on SR 681 from the Athens County line to Fredrick Road and from Tucker Road to SR 7. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated Completion: August 1
SR 32 Resurfacing – A resurfacing project begins on May 22 on SR 32. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated Completion: September 1
