Ohio River Producers FFA Alumni (ORP) gives scholarships
Racine, Ohio – Every year the Ohio River Producers FFA Alumni (ORP) gives scholarships to outstanding graduating FFA seniors at Southern High School. This year we are pleased to announce the following 2023 Seniors have been awarded scholarships: Kylee Circle, Chloe Smith, (both receiving $1000 each) and Cassidy Bailey who will receive a $1500 scholarship.
Circle is the daughter of Shane and Karen Circle. Kylee has been a FFA member for three years. She was the 2022-2023 Chapter FFA Secretary. She is enrolled in Ag Work Study Class, where she is employed at Bob Evans. She was also involved with 4-H showing her horse. She plans to attend Ohio University to become a Social Worker.
Smith is the daughter of Angie Smith and Rick and Chelsi Smith. Chloe has been a FFA member for three years. She was the 2022-2023 Chapter FFA Treasurer. She is enrolled in Ag Work Study Class, where she is employed at Swisher and Lohse. She plans to attend Rio Grande to become a Social Worker to work with children.
Bailey is the daughter of Kim Bolin and the late Michael Bailey. Cassidy has been a FFA member for four years. She was the 2022 – 2023 Chapter FFA President. She is enrolled in Ag Work Study Class, where she is employed at Kountry Resort Campground. She is also involved with 4-H and the Meigs County Chamber of Commerce Student Ambassador Program. She plans to attend West Virginia University to become an Agriculture Teacher.
Ohio River Producers FFA Alumni President, Tara Roberts had this to say, “These three ladies have all been very active in the chapter and have received many awards during their time with the FFA. We are very proud of all their accomplishments and we are excited to award these scholarships. We look forward to watching them achieve their goals in the future.”
