 James L Fry 82 of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away on Friday July 21 at Overbrook Rehabilitation Center.  James, fondly known as Jimmy or Jimmy Jack as many of his AEP coworkers knew him as was born to John & Mildred Fry on June 15, 1941.  Jim  was a 1959 graduate of Wahama High School He worked his entire adult life with AEP at Sporn and Gavin power plants to which he retired in 1998.  Prior to working for AEP, Jim joined the National Guard  from Point Pleasant, WV.  He was an active member of Drew Webster(American Legion) Post 39, a member of St.Paul Lutheran Church, Hemlock Grange 2049 and Pomona Grange.
   Jim is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Sue Stiles Fry.  Jim is survived by two daughters, Ruth (James) Bush and Sue Fry.  Two grandchildren, Cheryl (Andrew) O’Bryant and Justin Bush.  He was blessed with three great granddaughters Emery, Elana and Ellie O’Bryant.  His is also survived by a sister Judy Reiber, brother-in-law Roger (Linda) Stiles, special cousin ( who was like a brother) Nathan Roush.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Jim his preceded in death by his father-in-law Edward Stiles, mother-in-law Eloise Stiles, sister-in-law’s Nina Craddock and Kay Platter, brother-in-law’s Carl Platter, Terry Reiber and Max Eichinger.
   Funeral services will be held Tuesday  July 25 at 11:00 am at Anderson McDaniel funeral home Pomeroy w/ Jo Anne L’Heureux officiating.  Buriel will follow at Rocksprings Cemetery with military honors.   Visiting hours will be Monday July 24 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made either to Drew Webster Post 39  41765 Pomeroy Pike, Pomeroy OH 45769 or Mulberry Community Center, 260 Mulberry Avenue, Pomeroy, OH 45769.
