William R. Lambert

William R. Lambert, 77, Langsville, passed away Thursday August 17, 2023, at OverbrookCenter in Middleport, Ohio.
     Born June 11, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio,  the son of the late P.R. “Tom” and Ruby
Farley Lambert.  He was a U.S. Army veteran,  retired from Southern Ohio Coal Mine 31, 
 a member of Salem Center Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of Feeney Bennett 
Post #128 American Legion, Middleport, Ohio.
     Bill is survived by his wife Betty J. Smith Lambert, a son Bob Lambert and daughter Cathy
Richmond; grandchildren Ruby Renae Richmond (Chris Self), great-grandchildren Caylee and Ivan
Gibbs; sisters Sue Quigley of Fulton, Ohio, Judy Petry of Columbus, Ohio, and Nancy Haddox of
Langsville.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Robert “Bob” Lambert,
Richard “Dick” Lambert, and a son in law P.J. Richmond.
     Services are on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home.  
The visitation is Sunday 12- 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to services.  Burial will be in Salem Center Cemetery,
with Military Graveside services.
