Thelma Mae (Carr) White 

Thelma White, 95, of Long Bottom, Ohio passed away October 7, 2023, at Arbors of Pomeroy. 
She was born December 16, 1927, in Meigs County Ohio, daughter of Jewell (JD) Carr and Mary Guthrie Carr. Thelma was a 1945 graduate of Olive Orange High School. She was a member of the Daughters of America since she was 16 years old and a member of VFW Post 9053 for more than 30 years. 
She is survived by four sons, William “Bill” White, Thomas (Maxine) White, Rodney (Kim) White, Kenny (Debby) White and 2 daughters, Sandra White and Jennie Hayman all of Long Bottom, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and her first great, great grandchild due in March. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tom” White, 2 brothers, William “Bill” Carr and Charles “Red” Carr, 2 sons, Richard White and Charles “Tony” White, 1 son-in-law, Lawrence Hayman, 2 daughters-in law, Becky White and Carolyn White, 2 grandsons-in-law, Justin Robson and Eric Stover and 1 grandson, Jeffery White. 

Three days after Thelma’s passing, her daughter Sandra passed. 

A double service for Thelma and Sandra will be held at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville. The funeral will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 1pm at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home with calling hours from 12-1. Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
