James W. (Jimmy) Heaton

Jimmy passed away peacefully home following a lengthy illness with his wife, Helen Jean, and son, Kevin, at this side on Dec. 6, 2023. Born Feb. 27, 1951, in Mason, West Virginia, to the late James A. and Helen L. (Frost) Heaton. Beside his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robert Bauer and James Young.

Jimmy attended Eastern High School. He was a self-taught mechanic and worked as such his entire life, retiring from Letart Sand and Gravel, Apple Grove. He was also a self-employed mechanic and well tender.

He leaves behind his wife, Helen J. (Young) Heaton, two sons, Anthony (Josie) and Kevin Heaton, foster children, Sheena (Everett Caldwell) Riffle and Josh Riffle, brother and sisters, David (Janet) Heaton, Susan Bauer and Debbie (Jim) Watson, sisters-in-law, Floretta Barton, Venedia McCloud, Sharon Roseberry and Linda Young, brothers-in-law, John Young and Bryant Young, grandchildren, Zakk (Lindsay), Nathan, Colby, Rory, Khloe, great grandson, Cash Miles Heaton, special Aunt Shirley Frost Lindall, special friend Jessica Riffle and several nieces, nephews and lots of friends.

As per his request, there will be no services and he has donated his earthly body to science for medical research.
