Shelby Nathan Pickens, 87, of Racine, Ohio, passed away on January 27, 2024, at his home.

He was born on July 1, 1936, to Samuel and Mabel Clara Donohue Pickens.

He was a member of the Farm Museum in Mason County, WV, for 30 plus years. He was also a member of Big Bend Farm Antiques. He loved to farm.

Shelby is survived by his children, Keith Pickens, Ronnie Pickens, Kathy Stamm, Brenda Smallwood, Jay Pickens, Joyce McBee, James Languell, and Jeremy Lyons; former wife, Ruby Languell Pickens; grandchildren, Katrina, Alicia, Emily, Tina, Joyce, Nathan, Bobby, Jamey, Kellie, Alisha, Jayla, Joseph, Stephen, Ronnie, Keith, Dylan, and Dominic; many great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie; mother of his children, Ruby; brothers and sisters, Emmett, Wesley, Elmer, Eber, Don, and Clara.

A Celebration of Life service was held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, with Brent Rose speaking. Burial will follow in Letart Falls Cemetery in Racine, Ohio.

Friends could visit the family at the funeral home in Sunday, February 4, from noon to 2 p.m., time of service.
