Frank Henrey Krautter

Frank Henrey Krautter, 75, born on July 12, 1948 and passed away of an extended illness on February 19, 2024. 

He lived a full and joyful life in Meigs County, Ohio. He went to Chester Elementary and graduated from Eastern High School. He loved hunting and fishing with family and loved spending time with family and friends, he also loved going to his garage, mowing his lawn, and watching for deer on his patio with family and friends. 

He was an electrician for the Southern Ohio Coal Company at Meigs Mine Number 31 for 28 years, He also served in the United States Army and was Vietnam Veteran, he belonged to the Shade River Lodge 453, Rite of Columbus, American Legion 0128, Grand Council Royal and select Masons of Ohio Bosworth Council 46, Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio Pomeroy Chapter Number 80 16550, Ohio Valley Commandery Number 24, Knights Templar Middleport, Ohio. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Judy, his loving daughter and caretaker Amy, a very special and pride and joy granddaughter Brittany Krautter all of Pomeroy, Ohio, sister Shelia Krautter of St Albans, WV, brothers Keith and Darell (Bub) Krautter of Pomeroy, Ohio. Special brother and sister-in-law David (Rich) and Nancy Arnold and several neices and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by both parents Harry and Leona Krautter and a son. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1 p.m.  at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Dennis Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Gilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
