Confirmed Clevenger sighting

POMEROY, Ohio – Meigs County Sheriff Scott Fitch says there has been a confirmed sighting of Jacob Clevenger in the area.

According to Sheriff Fitch, Clevenger stopped at a neighbor’s home on White Oak Road around 9 a.m., asking for a glass of water.

“His physical condition appears to be fine and he is still armed with a .22 caliber rifle. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up. He is avoiding law enforcement and does not want to be found. We are continuing to search the area and following up on all leads,” said Sheriff Fitch.

The search for Clevenger began on March 12.
