Business to Host Lunch for First Responders

An area business is giving back to first responders on Sept. 11, 2024.

Anderson-McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy is hosting a First Responder Appreciation Cookout from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. First responders are encouraged to just stop in and enjoy lunch. First responders are fire fighters, police and EMS.

Sept. 11 is an important date for first responders because of the tragedy of the terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2001. It has seen become a day to remembrance for 9/11. It is also known as Patriot Day.
