John Robert Denney

John Robert Denney, 72, Vinton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Arbors Nursing Home, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born April 6, 1952 to the late Paul Denney and Margaret Sexton Denney. John retired from Bob Evans Sausage Plant where he was employed for more than 27 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Christina Pope, Vinton, Ohio, Margaret (Nancy) Manley, Vinton, Ohio, Barbara Rainey, Ashton, West Virginia, Julie (C. J.) Ross, Vinton, Ohio, and Judy Jones, Wooster, Ohio; grandchildren: Kayla (Fiancé, Mark Allen) Campbell, Jasmine (Isaiah) White, Austin Vance, Justin Rainey (Madi Clendenin), Kylie Denney, Hannah Pope, Gavin Rassavong, Mekelya Jones and Micaiah Ross; three great-grandchildren: Asher and Wrenley White and Eden Rainey; brother, James “PeeWee” (Charlotte) Denney, Letart, West Virginia; sister, Pauline (Lauchey) McCoy, Vinton, Ohio, several nieces, nephews and extended family as well as special friend and caregiver, Kevin Watson, Gallipolis, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two great-granddaughters, Josie Campbell and Emery Rainey.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM to the time of service.
