John Wayne Stobart, 77, of Racine, passed away, at 5:24 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the Holzer Meigs Emergency Department. Born September 4, 1946 in Antiquity, he was the son of the late George D. and Velma E. Voorhees Stobart Jr. He was a Vietnam War Marine Veteran, and he retired from Goodyear. He was also a farmer and sold flowers and produce at the Athens Farmers Market for many years. He also loved to hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Clonch Stobart, children, Shawn (Sherri Myers) Stobart, of Racine, Seth (Amy) Stobart, of Midland, Texas, Tiffany Asbury, of Parkersburg, and Catherine Spence, Ohio. His step-children, Michael Collins, of Racine, Willie (Lydia) Collins, of New Jersey, and Sasha (Bryce Laudermilt) Collins, of Racine, a host of grandchildren, his special friends, Tom Deeter, and Mike Wooland, sisters, Sue Rice, of Racine, and Hazel Dudding, of Racine, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death his son, Shannon W. Stobart, his granddaughter Brieanna Spence, his grandson, Shannon J. Stobart, his brothers, Roger and Don Stobart, and a sister, Edna Hunnell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, with his step-son Willie Collins officiating. Interment with military honors provided by American Legion Post #602 Racine, will follow in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
