Eugene JR Phillips

Eugene Phillips Jr. (JR) passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13th, 2024. He was born on January 20, 1966, at Sheltering Arms Hospital in Athens, Ohio. He was the son of Eugene and Nancy Phillips of Albany, Ohio.

He is survived by his daughters Beths Ann (Clint) Stewart, Caitlyn Phillips (Trey Peters), and Marlena Phillips, Sister Wendy Phillips, grandkids Micah, Tyson, Paisley, Chelsea, and Alivia, and was expecting two new granddaughters this fall. He also had many nieces and nephews whom he loved, for whom he always had witty nicknames.

Jr. spent many years following in his father’s footsteps, hanging and finishing drywall with his father’s company, Phillips drywall, and later went on to work for himself. He was an avid sports card collector and loved to lift weights in his free time. Jr. also enjoyed shooting archery, as he started at a very young age and belonged to the Pageville Mohawks bow club.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Lori Phillips and his father Eugene Phillips. Jr.’s wishes were to be cremated and for family to gather amongst themselves for a celebration of his life.
