Two police officers were hurt overnight while attempting to detain a suspect in north Phoenix.
Phoenix Police said officers arrived at 1:15 a.m. to a complaint of a guy armed with a knife and threatening company employees.
The man allegedly assaulted numerous employees at the establishment before fleeing before police arrived. No employees were wounded, according to Phoenix police.
Officers then tracked down the suspect to 2nd Street and Bell Road, where he had broken out windows at multiple shops. When police caught up with him, he allegedly assaulted the policemen before being arrested.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, two policemen were injured in the incident but did not require hospitalization. The suspect was hospitalized as a precaution and will be booked whenever he is released.
