A Central Florida teen was recently apprehended for possessing firearms and narcotics.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office investigators launched an investigation after learning that an individual was in possession of various firearms, including a modified Glock and AR-style pistols.
Detectives used investigative techniques to tie a home in Wimauma, south of Tampa, to the suspect, 17-year-old Christian Galvan Lumbreras.
A search warrant was executed at the residence with the aid of the HCSO SWAT Team. During the search, the following firearms were found and seized:
- Glock 19 with a machine gun conversion device
- Glock 22 with an extended magazine
- Radical Firearms AR-Pistol (Short Barrel Rifle)
- Anderson M15 Carbine (Short Barrel Rifle)
- Glock 27
- Sig P365
- DT AR Pistol
In addition to the weapons, several extended and drum magazines were discovered, as well as crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and fentanyl.
Galvan Lumbreras was arrested and charged with four counts of minor in possession of a firearm, possession of an operable machine gun, and possession of a short-barrel rifle (x2).
“This teenager had no business possessing this kind of firepower. The combination of illegal guns and deadly drugs could have easily led to a tragedy,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We will not allow our neighborhoods to be overtaken by illegal firearms and deadly narcotics. HCSO will continue to hold individuals responsible who threaten the safety of our community.”
Local law enforcement reports that this is an ongoing inquiry.
