Cortland Woman Apprehended For Shoplifting At Walmart

A Cortland woman was apprehended and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, after a shoplifting accusation at Walmart in Cortlandville. Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office came to the store shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 6th.

During their investigation, investigators learned that Shirley M. Roy, 39, of Cortland, had stolen products from the store. Shirley was arrested, taken to the Sheriff’s Office for processing, and eventually released on an appearance ticket for petit larceny. She is scheduled in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
