Man And Woman Apprehended In Connection With Child Endangerment And Drug Possession

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of child endangerment and drug possession.

A Brown County deputy was patrolling U.S. 75 around 9:15 p.m. when he came across a car with only one operational headlight.

The driver, Josiah Williams, 38, of Topeka, had his driver’s license revoked. Paige Keefe, 31, of Omaha, has a $500 failure to appear warrant out of Ford County, Kansas.

According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, K-9 Carla alerted on the vehicle, detecting cocaine, scale baggies, and other items of interest, which were confiscated as evidence.

The stop also included the presence of three children.

Williams was arrested in relation to the charges below:

  • Aggravated Endangerment of a Child X3
  • Distribution of a Stimulant
  • Possession of a Stimulant
  • No Drug Tax Stamp
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Keefe was arrested in relation to the charges below:

  • Aggravated Endangerment of a Child X 3
  • Possession of a Stimulant
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
