City Of El Paso’s Former Chief Military Officer Taken Into Custody For Assault

On September 4, 2025, Paul Albright, the former chief military officer of the City of El Paso, was taken into custody for assault resulting in wounds to a family member.

According to jail records, Albright was arrested on August 29, 2025, following an incident. According to the jail records, Albright paid the $2,500 bond and was freed on the same day he was arrested.

Albright stated in a recent Indeed post that he is leaving his employment with the city.

“This is not the end, but rather a transition,” Albright wrote on Indeed. “I plan to return to the workforce in 2026 with renewed strength and the same passion for service, leadership, and community that has guided me throughout my career.”

Albright was again arrested and put into the Downtown Jail on February 24, 2025, for driving while intoxicated. According to jail records, he was freed the same day after posting a $1,000 bond.
