A Florida man was arrested on various charges after reportedly attacking a tow truck driver who was towing his girlfriend’s car in Orlando.
Jose Reinardo Rosado, 45, of Orlando, is facing several felony counts for allegedly threatening a tow truck driver with a knife and striking him after an altercation at Ashton at Waterford Lakes Apartments.
Deputies responded at 10:30 p.m. Sunday to a call regarding a quarrel over a towed vehicle. The tow truck driver claimed he was hooking up a vehicle without a parking decal when Rosado, 45, intervened, slashed the towing strap with a knife, threatened him, and struck him in the head with the tow truck remote.
According to the arrest report, Rosado stole the truck’s keys and ran but was shortly captured nearby. A knife and keys were found, and the tow truck driver identified Rosado as the individual who attacked him.
Additional information on Rosado’s past or criminal history has not been disclosed.
Rosado faced charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, violence, criminal mischief, and petit theft. He was booked into Orange County Jail.
