Four men were wounded in a South Side shooting on Friday night, Chicago police said.
Just after 9:30 p.m., police responded to a report of people being shot in the 6600 block of South Halsted Street in Englewood.
Responding authorities discovered a 38-year-old man on the ground. The victim, who had several gunshot wounds to the torso, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he is in critical condition.
According to police, another individual injured in the same gunshot sought treatment at the same hospital. The 49-year-old received a gunshot wound to the leg and was classified in good health.
Officers then proceeded to St. Bernard Hospital, where two other individuals injured in the incident were being treated.
The two males, aged 35 and 36, each had a gunshot wound to the leg. Both are reported as in good condition.
There is no one in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately release more details regarding the shooting.
