The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of vandalism cases that caused over $214,000 in damage to recently constructed homes in two communities.
Deputies say many flooding and damaging incidents have occurred in the Harrington Trails and Pinewood areas during the last month. The total estimated damage is $214,474.
On Friday, September 12, deputies responded to a report of suspicious people in the vicinity. According to officials, two juvenile guys who matched the description of suspects linked to the vandalism were seized on the spot.
Detectives later discovered a third child who they believe is involved. The Montgomery County Attorney’s Office has filed charges against all three for second-degree felony criminal mischief.
The sheriff’s office stated that it remains committed to protecting local areas and encourages residents to report suspicious activities.
