Three teenagers were detained in Harris County after they broke into vehicles.
The incident occurred Thursday night, when deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 9900 block of FM 1960 Road West.
A caller reported witnessing many criminals inspecting vehicles after arriving in a Jeep. Deputies discovered the Jeep leaving the premises and conducted a traffic stop.
The vehicle was occupied by five individuals, including three adults named Malik Perry, 17; Donnell Williams, 17; and Zachariah Alcin, 18.
Two more juveniles were released after the investigation.
Deputies discovered two automobiles on the property that had smashed windows. Following Miranda warnings, one suspect admitted to the crimes. Alcin was found in possession of a firearm.
“All three were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and burglary of a vehicle,” according to Constable Mark Herman.
Perry’s bail was set at $5,100, while Alcin’s was placed at $15,100. Williams is awaiting bond.
The investigation is ongoing as investigators look into the entire scope of the alleged vehicle burglaries.
