A Columbia man arrested with nearly 1.5 grams of fentanyl pleads guilty.

Tyler Hensley pled guilty on Friday to second-degree drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to five years supervised probation for the trafficking conviction and two years unsupervised probation for the paraphernalia offense.

Hensley was detained in June after a traffic stop on Clark Lane near the I-70 junction. According to court records, a Columbia Police officer noticed Hensley driving without a legal registration. Hensley was also on active probation and parole for possessing a controlled substance and lacked a valid driver’s license.

A K9 officer was dispatched to the location and led officers to a baggie in the backseat containing 1.4 grams of fentanyl and many items of narcotics paraphernalia.
