Cleveland, OH — Cloudy skies and seasonably cool air will linger over northern Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania today, the National Weather Service in Cleveland reports, with a few isolated lake-effect showers possible in far northeastern counties.
Afternoon highs are expected to top out between 52°F and 57°F, running about 5 to 10 degrees below typical late-October values. Communities along and east of Cleveland, including Ashtabula and Erie, PA, could see spotty showers at times, while inland locations such as Toledo, Mansfield, and Canton remain largely dry.
Expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions through the day, a light breeze, and a steady flow of cool air off Lake Erie. Tonight, temperatures will dip into the upper 30s to low 40s, with drier air settling in overnight.
This cool, fall-like setup should hold through Sunday before a gradual warming trend begins early next week.
