Washington, DC — A quiet stretch of fall weather will stick around through the weekend across the Mid-Atlantic, with high pressure keeping skies mostly clear and winds light, according to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington.

Daytime highs today are expected to land between 55°F and 61°F, while nighttime temperatures dip into the 30s and lower 40s. Sunday brings similar conditions—partly sunny skies and a modest bump in warmth, with readings in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Looking ahead to Monday, a low-pressure system moving in from the southwest will increase cloud cover and could spark a few light showers, mainly across central Virginia. The Washington–Baltimore corridor should remain largely dry into at least the early part of the week.

Temperatures will continue to run below typical late-October values through Tuesday before a gradual warming trend develops midweek.

For drivers and anyone planning outdoor activities, expect classic fall weather this weekend: crisp air, calm breezes, and good visibility—ideal for seasonal events and leaf-peeping.

Keep up with the latest updates from the US National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington DC for early-week rain chances and evolving temperature trends.
