Vadito, NM — A man linked to an April 2025 homicide in Albuquerque has been taken into custody following a coordinated effort by the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) and the Albuquerque Police Department (APD).
NMSP reported that on October 20, 2025, APD’s Investigative Support Unit requested assistance from the agency’s Crime Suppression Bureau to locate Wyatt Gonzales, who was wanted in connection with the case.
During a joint operation that included NMSP’s Tactical Team and Crime Suppression Bureau, officers found Gonzales and his girlfriend, Vanessa Ward, in Vadito. Authorities said both individuals surrendered without resistance and were arrested without incident.
