Raleigh, NC — A pleasant, seasonably cool weekend is on tap for the Triangle and much of the Piedmont, but a cooler, wetter pattern is poised to settle in as the new week begins, according to the National Weather Service in Raleigh.

Saturday and Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine, with afternoon highs hovering between 64 and 68°F. It’s a good window for outdoor plans before the weather turns.

By early Monday, rain chances rise to around 40–45%, spreading across the state through Tuesday and Wednesday as a weak front drifts in from the west. Showers are expected to be light to moderate, with the most widespread activity focused over central and eastern North Carolina, including Raleigh, Fayetteville, and Rocky Mount.

Temperatures will step down through midweek, falling well below typical late-October norms. Highs will slip into the mid-50s by Tuesday, and nights will cool into the 40s.

While severe weather is not anticipated, plan for damp commutes and a breezy feel by Monday night. Keep an eye on updates from the US National Weather Service Raleigh, NC, for rainfall totals and the latest temperature outlooks as the pattern shifts.
