Los Angeles, CA — Early risers across the Central Coast should prepare for a murky start to Saturday. The National Weather Service office in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a Dense Fog Advisory from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m., covering San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, and the Santa Ynez Valley.

Communities likely to be affected include Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Lompoc, Paso Robles, Buellton, and Solvang. Visibility may drop to one-quarter mile or less in spots, especially near the coast and in low-lying valleys.

Travel conditions could deteriorate quickly, with pockets of thick fog expected along Highways 101, 1, and 154. Motorists are urged to slow down, use headlights, increase following distance, and allow extra time for the morning commute.

Fog is expected to lift gradually by late morning as temperatures rise and winds increase. For the latest updates and real-time visibility reports, visit weather.gov/LosAngeles.
