The NYPD was looking for a man Thursday who they suspect spat on a Jewish boy in a hate crime in Brooklyn last week.

At 5:50 p.m. on Oct. 22, the 14-year-old boy was strolling near Eastern Parkway and Albany Avenue in Crown Heights when a man approached him from behind on a bicycle, according to police.

He spat on the boy and then rode away without saying anything, according to authorities. He was last spotted heading westbound on Eastern Parkway.

According to the Daily News, the boy is the grandson of Devorah Halberstam, whose 16-year-old son Ari Halberstam was killed on the Brooklyn Bridge in an antisemitic terror assault against a group of Hasidic students in March 1994.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
