The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division is aggressively seeking information to identify a suspect in a recent aggravated robbery involving a carjacking in a business parking lot. The victim was harassed on October 21 at around 5:30 p.m. while exiting their vehicle on the 15000 block of South Post Oak Road in Houston.

According to the criminal complaint, an unidentified individual approached the victim, speaking Spanish with a Venezuelan accent, and demanded they exit the vehicle, flashing a weapon in the process. After consenting, the victim witnessed the suspect drive away in the stolen vehicle. Investigators are requesting anyone with knowledge to come forward in order to rapidly catch the person guilty of such a brazen crime.

The case took a new turn the next day, on October 22, when the stolen vehicle was involved in a collision near Almeda Road and Broadhurst. The suspect fled the scene on foot after the incident. According to the official HPD Robbery Division blog post, the suspect is a Hispanic male in his 20s who stands between 5’8″ and 6’0″, has a thin frame, and was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and multicolored slacks.

Crime Stoppers of Houston has issued a call for help and is offering a $5,000 cash prize for information that leads to the rapid identification and/or arrest of the felony suspect. To remain anonymous and possibly receive a monetary reward, tipsters must contact Crime Stoppers directly by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), visiting their website, or using the mobile app.
