The Chicago Police Department is actively seeking the public’s help in locating 67-year-old Willie Hawkins, who has been reported missing since November 4, 2025.

A notice was published on the Chicago Police Department’s official website, detailing Hawkins’ last known location near the 8000 block of South Western Avenue in Chicago.

Hawkins, a male with a medium brown complexion and gray or mostly gray hair, was described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing around 200 pounds, and having brown eyes at the time of his disappearance. He was traveling in a motorized wheelchair, which is an important detail that could help identify him.

Anyone with knowledge on Hawkins’ location is advised to phone 911 immediately.

The reasons surrounding Hawkins’ disappearance are unknown, but his missing person case highlights a wider issue: how easily the elderly, particularly those with mobility requirements, become vulnerable when isolated from their usual environs. The CPD has not provided additional information on prospective leads or the ongoing search activities.
