The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a Westerville man is under arrest after investigators discovered what they call a narcotics trafficking network linked to significant cryptocurrency activity, as well as an illegal gambling parlor.
Deputies carried out search warrants at two locations this week. Officers detained Asaad Musa in Westerville during one operation. According to police, the search uncovered cash and electronic ledgers that appeared to be tied to significant cryptocurrency holdings.
At the same time, a different team of officers raided what they described as an illicit gaming parlor on Morse Road.
Officials report that Musa’s business contained electronic gaming equipment, additional cash, and other evidence related to the continuing investigation.
