Kevin Lamorris McKenzie faces 14 years in federal prison for his involvement as CEO of an Arizona company that defrauded an Indian Tribal Organization out of millions of dollars, allowing him to live a lavish lifestyle of luxury vehicles and private jet flights.
McKenzie, 49, was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Oct. 16 by U.S. District Judge Scott H. Rash, which will be served consecutively with an additional five years. McKenzie has already acknowledged his involvement in a conspiracy to commit wire fraud and embezzlement. According to the sentencing paperwork, after he is released from prison, he will be placed on 36-month probation.
According to court records, McKenzie engaged in a plot to defraud Apache Behavioral Health Services (ABHS) and the White Mountain Apache Tribe from 2015 until 2023, first as chief operating officer and then as CEO in 2016.
