A woman who admitted to mixing Mudslides and pills was apprehended at Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages.

Laurel Beth Robbins, 74, of Bradenton, was pulled over at Old Mill Run and Buena Vista Boulevard at 6 p.m. Monday, according to a Sumter County Sheriff’s Office arrest record.

She was asked if she had been drinking, and she acknowledged having “a few.” At around 3 p.m. that day, the Philadelphia native said she met a buddy at Cody’s Original Roadhouse at Lake Sumter Landing and drank wings and two Mudslides. She also stated that she had taken Losartan for blood pressure and Zoloft for nerves earlier in the day.

She agreed to participate in field sobriety tests but fared miserably. She gave breath samples that showed.000 blood alcohol concentration.

Robbins was sent to the UF Health Emergency Room Clinic in Brownwood for an assessment. After being released, she was placed into the Sumter County Detention Center on a charge of driving under the influence. The bond was set at $1,000.
